MEET ANDREW

Born and raised on Oʻahu, Andrew has lived in Pālolo since childhood and attended St. Patrick School in Kaimukī from kindergarten through eighth grade. The son of immigrants from Laos, he grew up watching his parents work tirelessly to build a better life for their family — an experience that shaped his belief that our community deserves representation from someone who understands real struggles and everyday challenges.

WORKING FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Noblesse Oblige - "To Whom Much is Given Much is Expected"

Andrew is a graduate of Maryknoll School, Class of 2014 — an experience that helped shape his commitment to service and community responsibility. At Maryknoll, students are taught a simple but powerful idea: Noblesse Oblige — to whom much is given, much is expected. It is a reminder that opportunity carries responsibility, and that those in a position to help should strengthen their communities.

That value continues to guide Andrew’s approach to public service. He believes leadership is about stepping up when your community needs you — listening first, showing up consistently, and doing the work to improve people’s everyday lives.

Hawaiʻi is at a moment that demands this kind of leadership. Families are being priced out of their neighborhoods, kūpuna face rising costs, and young people are losing the ability to build a life here. Meeting these challenges requires a leader who is prepared, grounded, and willing to act with urgency and care.

Andrew is running to put values into action — because government should work for everyone who calls Hawaiʻi and District 21 home.
